100% patented Ahimsa silk (Peace Silk)
In the production of Ahimsa silk, the caterpillars are not killed but are allowed to leave the cocoon after maturation. This process tears the silk cocoon. This can result in the fabric containing natural impurities and knots. This makes the fabric stronger and less smooth than mulberry silk. For our hair turbans, we use undyed and unbleached natural silk.

The natural composition of silk, consisting of high-performance proteins and valuable amino acids, nourishes the hair in a unique way.
- Glycine (approx. 45%) – provides exceptional softness and helps lock moisture deep into the hair.
- Alanine (approx. 30%) – strengthens the hair structure and has a smoothing effect on hair and skin.
These amino acids are similar to the structure of human hair – that’s why silk can:
- soothe the hair surface and reduce frizz,
- Prevent moisture loss,
- and gently protect sensitive skin without irritating it.
